Baume & Mercier, the luxury Swiss watchmaker, will host a private event with Tourneau on December 1, 2011 to bring awareness to the charitable organization, Love146, which works to end child sex slavery and exploitation.
“For Baume & Mercier, ‘Life is about moments’ and we’re honored to support Love146’s mission to restore hope to those in a time of need,” said Rudy Chavez, Baume & Mercier North American President. “As Chairman of the Board of Love146, I look forward to continuing to shed light on this worthwhile cause.” Baume & Mercier sent Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist Carolyn Cole to Southeast Asia and commissioned her 2008 “Into the Light” exhibition to illustrate the mission of Love146. Cole’s thought-provoking exhibition of photography will be on display at Tourneau TimeMachine for a limited showing in honor of the event. Party revelers including Baume & Mercier’s friend of the brand, Emmanuelle Chriqui will enjoy exclusive performances by Love146 co-founder Lamont Hiebert, musical artist Abigail Zsiga and the musical group The Broadway Dolls.
