A historical Brand with a youthful attitude

Exactly one year ago, the Swiss Maison d’Horlogerie launched its first social media operation on Facebook.

Secrets of a Watchmaking Family featuring the great-granddaughter of the Brand founder, Simone Gaudard, was rewarded with a huge buzz.

From hundreds of Fans at the beginning, the community exploded within 12 months with the Brand constantly engaging a sincere dialog with the Fans, answering each post with detailed comments and surfing on the wave of enthusiasm expressed by its aficionados.

Commitment on both sides

“It is a full-time job for our team”, tells Alain Zimmermann, CEO of Baume & Mercier, “But it’s fascinating. For me, it has become a reflex: every morning, I connect to the Baume & Mercier community and discover new testimonies, as well as comments about our products that enable us to be in synch with our customers”.

To celebrate its 180th anniversary, the Brand invited two Fans to attend the SIHH (Salon de la Haute Horlogerie). Today, they are covering the event as VSRs, Very Special Reporters.
