RICHEMONT GROUP: Geneva, 09/01/2009 - Alain Zimmermann appointed CEO of Baume & Mercier The luxury goods Richemont Group announces the appointment of Alain Zimmermann as CEO of its Baume & Mercier brand. Alain Zimmermann takes up his duties in September 2009. As Baume & Mercier prepares to celebrate its 180th anniversary, the Richemont Group to which it belongs has entrusted the reins of the brand to Alain Zimmermann. The new Baume & Mercier CEO began his career with L’Oréal and has since gained considerable experience of the luxury industry over the past two decades. In particular, prior to joining Baume & Mercier, the new CEO Alain Zimmermann has handled various managerial responsibilities in the fields of sales, marketing and communications – both within the Richemont Group (Cartier, IWC), as well as for the leading Swiss Private Banking Group, Julius Bär Bank. Alain Zimmermann sees his new job as CEO of Baume & Mercier as a stimulating challenge at an exciting time in the brand’s rich and ongoing history.
